Experience our remote, scenic clear-water tributary, and the spin and fly fishing opportunities that abound!

Visit our Alaska fishing page for complete guide to Fishing Alaska. The lodge boasts awesome Alaska salmon, trout and grayling fishing right in the home waters! Lake Creek fills with strong runs of five Alaska salmon species each summer. Trophy king salmon (15-50lbs) enter the river in early June and run strong through the 10th of July. Sockeye and pink salmon arrive in large numbers in mid-July followed by silver salmon and chum salmon. Our river also boasts a thriving native Rainbow Trout fishery. While there’s great trout fishing throughout the season, early to mid-June, late July, August and September are peak trophy Trout time. Seeking a change of scenery? Try a boat outing to a nearby chain of lakes for excellent Northern Pike fishing throughout the summer. Pike fishing in this very different fishery is excellent with spin or fly fishing gear.

Lake Creek offers unlimited trout opportunities. Our river is a perfect freestone, wade fishing stream with much topography, gravel bars, channel breaks, islands, eddies, riffles and all the terms synonymous with blue-ribbon fly fishing

Lake Creek’s exceptional water quality comes from Lake Chelatna, which is in turn fed by glaciers from Denali National Park. Wade fishing is the focus on Lake Creek. While the lower river, if preferred, can be boat fished for all salmon. Guides and guests prefer to wade or hike the gravel bars lining the river's edge. Flies, spinners, drift rigs, plugs and spoons are highly productive for all salmon and trout.
For the more adventurous, consider a guided Lake Creek float trip. Float trips are a great way to see the tremendous diversity of the entire river system and experience blue ribbon fishing, amazing scenery and wildlife watching on the way!
