We are a full-service, deluxe Alaska fishing lodge and eco-adventure company focused on the best service and hospitality. Lake Creek, our home river, is a freestone river system meandering 60 miles from its source at Chelatna Lake on the border of Denali National Park. The river is famed for its large runs of all 5 species of Alaska pacific salmon and healthy native populations of Rainbow Trout. Our fishing lodge offers all-inclusive, full service packages for any duration stay. You can arrive and depart on any day of the week, which makes our operation very unique and comfortably flexible. The private deluxe cabins are modern with comfy mattresses, fine amenities and full bath/shower within. The food is top notch and the staff is the friendliest people you will meet. We take pride in hospitality first to be sure all our comfortable and feel welcome at our unique wilderness place.

Wilderness Place Lodge focuses on keeping the small up-close-and-personal approach unlike many larger resort environments.

With one guide for two to three guests, and a one-to-one staff ratio, you can experience a highly customized fishing vacation with all the spoils. Stay in one of the seven modern guest cabins on our 10 acre private riverside parcel. Meal options and fishing schedules are flexible, so plan your time here as you please! Local, micro-brew beer, wifi, all fishing gear, and top-of-the-line fishing waders are included. The fabulous fishing, friendly staff and fine amenities draw a 50% guest return rate each summer. Experience our remote, scenic clear-water tributary, and the spin and fly fishing opportunities that abound!

Visit our Alaska fishing page for complete guide to Fishing Alaska. The lodge boasts awesome Alaska salmon, trout and grayling fishing right in the home waters! Lake Creek fills with strong runs of five Alaska salmon species each summer. Trophy king salmon (15-50lbs) enter the river in early June and run strong through the 10th of July. Sockeye and pink salmon arrive in large numbers in mid-July followed by silver salmon and chum salmon. Our river also boasts a thriving native Rainbow Trout fishery. While there’s great trout fishing throughout the season, early to mid-June, late July, August and September are peak trophy Trout time. Seeking a change of scenery? Try a boat outing to a nearby chain of lakes for excellent Northern Pike fishing throughout the summer. Pike fishing in this very different fishery is excellent with spin or fly fishing gear.

We offer a unique opportunity to bundle remote wilderness outposts, kayaking and solitude in addition to fishing lodge-based stays!

Would you like to experience the very best all-around remote Alaskan experience? Spend a few days at our Alaska fishing lodge in tandem with a night or more at one or both of our unique fly-in wilderness outpost cabins! This takes glamping and solitude to a whole new level! Our cabins: Solitude Island Retreat and the Alaskan Pioneer Cabin are both located on serene, scenic lakes located within a 15 minute flight from the main lodge. These destinations offer a great balance of comfort and solitude along with activities such as kayaking, photography, fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking, berry picking in a wilderness setting "all your own."
