Best Fishing Trip: 100-Mile River, Fly Fishing Alaska
This video highlights a groups Alaska float trip down the 100 mile long Kisaralik River, a tributary of the Kuskokwim River in the Southwestern region of Alaska. Float trips offer a unique Alaska fishing experience and this trip will provide all of it…great fishing and spectacular scenery – both highlighted in this video.
Best Fishing: Caught 14 Alaska Steelhead in two days!
This video is all about the fishing. Filmed over a weekend near Sitka, AK which is located in Southeast Alaska, the video shows some great fly-fishing action with the focus on Steelhead (Rainbow Trout that migrate to the ocean). The video saws they caught 14 fish in 2 days…so, that makes for a both a solid weekend and video.
Most Unique: Denali Fly Fishing & Camping
This is a unique video and it's one of our favorite even though it's a slow pace and doesn't have a crazy soundtrack. A solo traveler documented his hiking, camping, and (of course) fishing around Denali National Park area off the Steese Highway.
Best Overall: Alaska Fishing Drone & GoPro
A quick video that shows a lot of what is amazing about Alaska – it includes wildlife, nature, glaciers, and fishing for a variety of species. It's a two week trip in two minutes and leaves you wanting more – or your own trip like it.
Most Mouthwatering: Valdez Salmon Run
This drone video shows an insane volume of salmon near Valdez, AK in the Southcentral region of Alaska. Seen from overhead, it shows pink salmon returning in August and will get any anglers mouthwatering.
So, those are our favorite Alaska fishing videos from 2019. We hope to see plenty of more in 2020 – maybe one of our favorites next year will be from you!
