My question is about the salmon numbers on the Kodiak road system. I have fished for sockeyes on the Kenai and around Ketchikan, as well as Silvers out of Valdez. By comparison, the bag/possession limits on Kodiak seem pretty small. I understand catch and release, but I would hate to beat the water all day for two fish. What would be a realistic number of hookups to expect in a day assuming I time the run correctly?
Thanks, Bill

Bill,
Congrats on your upcoming trip to Alaska!
The Kodiak road system provides awesome angling experiences for Silver Salmon and sea run Dolly Varden! Most anglers if the run is hit correctly will provide more than 2 hook ups a day. But, sadly knowing the exact number of hookups is something none of us can know for sure. Run escapements have been solid the last couple/few years. Kodiak is also an amazing backdrop for fishing and also provides great saltwater opportunities as well.
