Looking for a great location to go silver salmon fishing the last week of September. I like to wade out and fish. I am solo so just need some advice and direction for a day and then I am good on my own. Looking at Cooper Landing or Kenai. Any suggestions or guides for a day would be great.
Also any other suggestions for what to target that time of the year or any other advice would be great thanks!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Alaska!
The Silver Salmon run this year has been down compared to years past in south-central Alaska. If you wish to harvest Silvers definitely check the Emergency Orders from fish and game as limits have been dropping and can change almost daily sometimes depending on where you fish. In addition to the Kenai River there are also rivers on the Kenai Peninsula such as the Kasilof River, Anchor River, and Deep Creek. In addition to silvers there are also Dolly Varden, Rainbow Trout and possibly some early arriving Steelhead. Steelhead are 100% catch and release and need to stay in the water when released. In some areas Dolly's can be harvested and others are catch and release. Rainbows are also catch and release. There are many good guide services on the Kenai Peninsula, it really just comes down to availability. Good luck on your trip!

The Kenai River in Cooper Landing will have the best on foot access. The Kasilof River at Crooked Creek and the Anchor River are two more options. Silvers have been slow to show up, so not sure how well the Kenai River will fish in Cooper Landing area.
As for other species, trout and Dolly Varden would be other options to target. Egg patterns and flesh flies will be the best options.
For guides; Alaska Troutfitters, Explore Kenai, Kenai River Recon and Kenai River Trout Hunter are some good options.
