The Alaska Fishing with Mark Glassmaker is located near the town of Soldotna. The lodge, which is a series of cabins, sits within the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Mark Glassmaker offers lodging and guided fishing along the Kenai and into the Cook Inlet.
Guests are housed in newly built and fully furnished cabins. Cabins feature multiple bedrooms and a full bath. Expect to find a full kitchen with all the cooking utensils and equipment needed to make wonderful meals along the Kenai River. Some cabins feature Wi-Fi, satellite-TV, washer and dryer and sit within a two-minute walk from the river.

The most active fishing month along the Kenai River is July. That is when you have access to King Salmon Sockeye Salmon Rainbow Trout and Dolly Vardon. The hottest month for King Salmon fishing is June though mid-May is also a good time for catching these massive fish. For those who are interested in fishing for Pacific Halibut anytime throughout the summer makes for a great opportunity to fish for chickens ( are halibut weighing under 100 pounds) and barn doors ( those are halibut that way over 100 pounds.)

May is the month for King Salmon Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden, and Pacific halibut.
June is the month for King Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Pacific halibut.
July is the last month for King Salmon and good month for Sockeye Salmon Rainbow Trout Dolly Varden and Pacific Halibut.
August is a sports fisherman's dream come true. August is the month when the Silver Salmon otherwise known as the Coho Salmon into the rivers. Silver salmon are famous for their fight. These are fish that strike hard and fight hard. If you want to experience a fish that breaches the water, displays aerobatics, and fights every second that it's on your line in the Silver Salmon is the fish to target.
