The Alaska Heavenly Lodge is a Cooper Landing favorite. It sits just one mile from the Kenai Lake Bridge and a gentle, beautiful 2.5-hour drive from Anchorage. This is the heart of the Kenai Peninsula and home to the famous Kenai River. The Alaska Heavenly Lodge is perfect for fishermen, honeymooners, corporate groups, and fishing groups. There are many Kenai River fishing lodges to choose from...what helps make Alaska Heavenly Lodge unique is it's not just a fishing lodge. In addition to fishing packages, they offer a wide variety of activities to choose from including rafting, horseback riding, hiking and they also host weddings & business retreats.

Fishing with the Alaska Heavenly Lodge

The lodges offer a variety of fishing packages as well as guided fishing trips and fly-out options for anglers who want to target specific rivers or fish populations.

Cooper Landing sits along the upper Kenai River and is a perfect place for a Kenai Peninsula base. You are 1.5-2 hours away from Seward for Saltwater fishing, including Trophy Halibut, and 2.5 hours away from Homer, which is known as the Halibut Capital of the World.

If you want to try your hand at battling King Salmon then the best time is mid-May through the end of July. King Salmon Season closes by July 31 as the big Salmon reach their spawning grounds. A seasoned guide will know where these spots are and you can fish them for the big Trophy Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden which swim with the Kings. The time for Sockeye Salmon Fishing is from mid-July through mid-August. The big attraction besides King Salmon are the Silver Salmon with their tenacious fight and aerial displays. Silver Salmon is good from Late August through the end of October. If you want to fish for Silvers or Kings book early.

You cannot go wrong fishing on the Kenai River. This is a fisherman's haven and the Alaska Heavenly Lodge is a perfect place from which to explore and fish Alaska.
