Meet Your Team
Josh has plenty of years worth of fishing these waters, and he knows where the trout lie and where the spawning beds are. There is a seasonal charm to Alaska that as a visitor you might not notice, but the fish here run on cycles and the locals, like Josh, understand what all that means. When you book with him be sure to ask about the best times to target specific species. There are fishing calendars online that will tell you but they do not take into account the seasonal changes and they can be off by several weeks or even a month.
If you are keen on having the best fishing trip possible, give Josh a call.
Fishing the Kenai Peninsula
Expect to fish for all five species of Pacific Salmon from the big Kings to the small Pinks. The salmon are available at different times of the year and in different parts of the river. One benefit of opting for Alaska Trout Guides is that Josh knows both the river and the fish and if your goal is to fish for Kings then he knows the most optimal place to do so and the best times.
The rivers here are also full of Trophy Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden so there is always something available for fly fishermen.
