Fishing with the Anglers Getaway on the Kenai
The Kenai River is a beautiful river with plenty of fishing opportunities. The key to successfully fishing the Kenai is to use a guide. This is the river where the term "combat fishing" was likely invented. By this we mean that you can fish from the banks but you will join hundreds if not thousands of other fishermen and fish elbow to elbow.
The benefit of using a guide is that guides have permits to fish in spots where the average fishermen cannot go and they have boats that take you to places where there is no other access to the fish.
The Kenai River is a wild river and as such it has sections where the aqua blue water is calm and areas, such as those through the canyon where there is white water. Along the way are tributaries and islands where your guide can moor the boat and allow you to fish undisturbed and in prime locations. The Anglers Getaway on the Kenai uses the professional guide services of Jeff Moore, a master level guide who has fished the Kenai River for more than a quarter of a century. He has access to the river from the Mouth where it empties into Cook Inlet to where Lake Kenai overspills to create this amazing river.
