Sitka, Alaska is one of the most productive areas for Salmon fishing in the world. Sitka has the highest catch rates in all of Alaska, which means, that guests of the Angling Unlimited have ample opportunity to catch Salmon hand-over-fist.
The Angling Unlimited lodge sits right on the water in Sitka, they offer suites in the Waterfront Suites or the Waterview Suites for guests. Expect to have comfortable and clean accommodations or you can opt so stay at any of the local bed and breakfasts too. The lodging option is up to you.
Fishing with Angling Unlimited
The Kings are common in the 20-30 pound range but can weigh in at 100 pounds too. The fishing style for kings is Mooching, Jigging, or Trolling.
The Halibut are common in the 10-50 pound range but can weight in at 700 pounds. The record for sports caught Halibut is 459 pounds. The preferred fishing method is Mooching, Jigging, and using Bait Fish.
Silver Salmon are another hot fish species to target. The best time for Silvers is from the First week of July through the third week of September. Expect Silvers in the 8-10 pound range.
