Austin's Alaska Adventures is a Western Alaska adventure near the city of Nome and next to the Arctic Circle. Guests stay at Austin's Golsovia River Lodge. The nearest town is 40 miles away, and fishermen have access to some of the best clear water streams in the western part of Alaska.
The lodge is warm and family oriented. Expect to eat wonderfully of all that Alaska has to offer such as caribou, ptarmigan, arctic hare, moose, musk ox, fresh salmon, and even king crab.
Fishing with Austin's Alaska Adventures
The Best time to fish with Austin's Alaska Adventures is from June through August. In early June, the King Salmon begin to enter the freshwater. They are bright and shiny silver and full of energy. They are still in their aggressive feeding mode, and a shiny lure or spoon is irresistible to the big Kings. King salmon are big 20, 30, 50, 70 pounds. That is why people love to fish for them. The Silver Salmon, however, are there the sport is. These fish in the 10-pound range are amazing fighters. This is the fish to battle!
