Join Bear Creek Outfitters for a Southeastern Alaska fishing adventure that will surely be the trip of a lifetime. Expect guides who know the area, rivers, and fish and experts that help fishermen of all levels.
Fishing with Bear Creek Outfitters
Fly fishing in the Southeastern area of Alaska is different. The rivers here are not mammoth bodies of water...instead they are remote and often narrow compared to rivers like the Kenai in South Central Alaska. This is an excellent area for fly fishing. There are plenty of streams with perfectly situated fishing zones that will make you rethink small-stream fishing. Bear Creek Outfitters will pick you up and bring you to your shop where you will fly out (along with your guide) on a scenic flight to your fishing location for the day.
In terms of fish, expect access to fresh Pacific Salmon, Dolly Varden, Cutthroat Trout and a world-class run of Trophy-sized Steelhead. Part of the magic here is the location and the mix of fish to which anglers have access. The guides have access to many rivers throughout the area and they move fishermen around based on the fish that are in the rivers. While the streams are shorter and narrow, there are plenty of wetlands where there are deep fishing holes and access to Trophy Fish.
