While other "lodges" occur up and down the river, they are fishing camps where guests sleep in tent cabins. Bristol bay Adventures is a true lodge, with wooden walls and comfortable beds. Guests should expect to have telephone and high-speed internet while at the lodge. The meals are home-style and served family style. Guests are lodged in comfortable cabins that overlook the Nushagak River.

Fishing with Bristol Bay Adventures

First, this area of the Nushagak River is where many lodges fly-out their guests. Bristol Bay Adventures sits right in the heart of a Salmon fishing oasis. The big salmon here is the Kings. The deep slough in front of the lodge serves as an overnight holding spot for Salmon. Early morning and evening fishing are prime times right from the lodges beach. During the day, the guides take you out on the Nushagak to fish. Other outstanding fish here include the Silver Salmon. These are the powerhouses of the Pacific Salmon family. The Silvers strike lures and flies with enough force to snatch the rod right out of your hands. They fight too. Once you set the hook, prepare for acrobatics and a lot of action from the fish.

Non-Salmon Fishing

The Nushagak is a good place to find Rainbow Trout. The Trout are known to follow the Salmon and summer time along the Nushagak River and within Bristol Bay is Salmon season. The fish begin in June and run through August and into September. That means good sized Rainbows will be in the water swimming with the Salmon. If you love to fly fish, then take some time out of the busy salmon fishing to try and lure a Rainbow into striking. You will be glad you did.

Bristol Bay Adventures is an outstanding place to stay. It is located right in the heart of Salmon fishing on the Nushagak River. The guides here are experienced, and they will show you how to fish. If you are a seasoned pro or just starting to fish, the guides here will help make your fishing adventure a dream come true. Even the pro fly fishermen will learn something here. Take the time to pick their brain about the perfect fly selection for the Nushagak. The area is rich with wildlife too. The lodge sits on what was once a Native American fishing camp. Expect to see bears, caribou, moose, and eagles. The scenery here is nice too. There are plenty of photo opportunities. If you have not had enough fishing when evening comes, just drift your line down the Nushagak from the beach... There is always more fishing at Bristol bay Adventures.
