Fishing with Bristol Bay Sportfishing

Bristol Bay is a huge watershed where guests have access to many types of sports fish. Those include:

Rainbow Trout - Fish the local waters or fly-out to one of the remote streams. Either way, you have access to big 30-inch Rainbows. Many of the streams are catch-and-release making it easy to catch trophy after trophy.

Arctic Grayling - While trout are the quintessential fly fishing fish, the Arctic Grayling is a close second. These are the smallest of the game fish and a big one might weigh 3 pounds. Trophy fish have been caught over four pounds, but it is their smarts that make them fun and challenging.

Arctic Char - The Arctic Char sit somewhere between a salmon and a rainbow trout. These are feisty fish that average 3-5 pounds with large fish hitting the eight-pound mark. They can grow to 20 pounds and come close to the fight that Silver Salmon offer.

All Five Species of Pacific Salmon - Throughout the fishing season, guests have access to several species of Pacific Salmon. Early in the season is the best time for Kings followed shortly by the Sockeye Salmon. The Dog or Chum Salmon overlap the Sockeye and herald in the Silvers. The Pink Salmon Show up by the millions from late June through August.

Northern Pike - Strikes like a Silver Salmon but is the size of King Salmon, Northern Pike are aggressive, explosive, and addicting. Expect big Northern Pike in the 25-pound range.

Lake Trout - From June through September guests can target big, fat Lake Trout. These slow moving giants will surprise you.

Overall, Expect a well-guided fishing trip with outstanding opportunities for big, Trophy Fish.
