Clover Pass Resort has over 60 years of guiding guests to their dreams of catching Salmon and Halibut. The resort is located a short 15 miles from the town of Ketchikan, Alaska and is an easy trip in a rental car. Lodging is easy here. There are 30 rooms that sit right on the water. The resort is named after the beautiful Clover Passage which is the body of water that runs right by the resort.

Each room can hold up to four people, with private bathroom, but the overall experience is not crowded. Clover Pass Resort has its own marina. The best part about lodging here is that there are no minimum stay requirements. You can come for a single night and fish or stay for a month. Another excellent reason to say here is that there is staff available 24 hours per day. They take guests seriously, and they want you to enjoy your stay.

Fishing Options for Clover Pass Resort

Clover Pass Resort offer guided and unguided fishing opportunities for both saltwater and freshwater fishing.

Freshwater fishing includes guides and fly out, and the overall rate usually includes your transportation between the airport in Ketchikan and the lodge. They supply all of the gear, though you are welcome to bring your own. A good fishing habit is to pack your fly case. They offer extensive online resources so that guests can prepare themselves for the best fishing opportunities. They happily take novice fishermen as well as fishing masters. The guides will make your fishing day a positive experience. TIP: For masters, the fishing here is so heavy that you might want to explore other fishing techniques. Freshwater fish targets Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.

Saltwater fishing includes guided fishing to some of Ketchikan's best saltwater fishing grounds and the transportation between Ketchikan's airport and Clover Pass Resorts. Guests have use of top quality equipment including poles, rigging, and rain gear. The salt water packages target a variety of ocean fish, such as Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, Snapper, and Rockfish.

Both Guided freshwater and Saltwater fishing trips through Clover Pass Resorts includes customized processing of your entire catch. They will filet your catch, vacuum pack it, box it and freeze it for you.

Guides and Charters

At every resort or lodge that you visit, the guides are the folks who make it all happen. Clover Pass Resort partners with three local guide and charter services to make each guests fishing trip a memorable event. All three guides, Sean Michaels, Brad Saalsaa and Sam Dalin bring decades of fishing experience to each chartered fishing trip. All three have local fishing experience and solid reputations for finding fish and showing people how to fish. When it comes to fishing locally, these three cannot be beat.

Clover Pass Resort offers its guests a lot. Between the flexible stay schedule and the opportunity to dock a motorhome, guests of Clover Pass Resort leave feeling that their fishing trip not only had value, but was the best it could be.
