Only Hatchery Kings are targeted for harvest per company policy.

On the Kenai River, trips usually depart from 5-8am and last for 4 hours. We target Sockeye Salmon or Coho Salmon based on current ADF&G regulations and seasons.

The Cooper Landing Fishing Guide is Kenai River focused service that guides fishermen and fisherwomen through some of the world's best fishing waters. The Kenai River is a world-famous river, and Cooper Landing is lucky enough to exist near the start of this majestic river. They are a great option if you're looking for a Kenai River fishing guide, and they also offer guided Russian River fishing as well.

The Guides

Cooper Landing Fishing Guides is a pair of fishers who share their love of fishing with their clients. David Lisi is the head guide, and his guiding services are supported by his girlfriend Jackie who is also an experienced and seasoned Kenai River guide.

The Cooper Landing area is full of guides and guide services. What sets the Cooper Landing Fishing Guide service apart, is their approach. These are not just guides, but avid fishers who when not hosting a boat full of anglers are floating down the river targeting big Trophy Rainbow Trout or Silver Salmon. This is Dave's and Jackie's life and their investment in doing what they love pays off for their guests. It is this intimate knowledge of the river, the fish, and their experience that enhances the fishing for every single person who sits in their boats.

If you are looking for a personal fishing experience by people who are as much a part of the river and fishing as the river and fishing are a part of them, then this is the guide service to choose.

Fishing the Cooper Landing area

There is a lot of water here as you not only have the Kenai River but the Russian River too. Cooper Landing is considered the upper Kenai and it is the destination for King Salmon and Silver Salmon who make it this far to spawn. An experienced guide will take you to the King Salmon spawning grounds and show you how to target big, Trophy Rainbow Trout and Big Dolly Varden. These are fish that swim with the Salmon to take advantage of the tremendous amount of roe available. That little fact is key. As guides who understand the Kenai River and the fish who spawn here, they also understand the decomposition of roe which is key for targeting those big Trout.

Dave and Jackie live fly fishing here, so they also understand what flies work and when they work. All of that experience is brought along in the boat when you strike off for your amazing Alaskan Fishing Trip.
