Crystal Creek Lodge is a luxury Alaskan fly-fishing lodge on the Naknek River, five miles east of King Salmon. This award-winning, Orvis endorsed lodge boasts a riverside hot tub, a bar and game room, massage room, mud room, and two relaxation/reading areas. Guests can choose to stay in beautiful main lodge or in one of the two matching private cabins.

Fly to your remote fishing hole in one of three DeHavilland Beaver aircraft. These iconic bush planes have been carefully restored and are meticulously maintained. Crystal Creek also has a fleet of eight river boats piloted by licensed U.S. Coast Guard captains, including host Dan Michels. Dan helped build the original lodge in 1988, and was awarded the Orvis Company's Orvis Endorsed Guide of the Year award in 1993.

The Naknek River and streams of the surrounding Katmai National Park region offer one of the finest Rainbow Trout fishing experiences in the world

Crystal Creek Lodge is located on one of the few rivers in the world home to wild Rainbow Trout over 30 inches long; fish over 20 inches are very common. Most of the nearby fishing rivers and streams are clear-flowing, gravel-bottomed, and easily waded. Guests looking to hook Rainbow Trout can spend much of their time walk-wade fly-fishing. The lodge has over 85 of Orvis' first quality fly rods, reels and lines available for you to use at no extra cost.

Five species of Pacific Salmon run the local rivers by the millions and are available in prolific numbers

At least one species of salmon is at its peak during most weeks of the season. Four or five species can be caught during some weeks in July. Catch Chum, Sockeye, Pink, King or Silver Salmon by spin or fly fishing on the Naknek, or one of the many other rivers within flight range of the lodge. The guided salmon fishing program can help you catch them, and lodge staff can clean and package them for you to take home.

Choose a more rustic, remote Alaskan wilderness experience for high-volume salmon fishing

Guests looking for a more isolated wilderness experience can choose from three remote camp options. Fish for Chum, Pink and Silver Salmon from the Yantarni Salmon Camp, located near the Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge's Wilderness Area. A trip to Yantarni is for hard-core fishing enthusiasts seeking a high-volume wilderness Alaska Silver Salmon fishing experience. Walk and wade fishing are available in three different nearby streams. The closest stream - within walking distance - is home to chum, pink and silver salmon arriving from the ocean. Enjoy amazing scenery and serenity from a wood-floored tent with heat, electricity, and bed linens. The Ugashik Narrows Cabin and new Nushagak River Tent Camp are more rustic locations that offer a variety of immediate fishing options.
