Nestled on the Alaska Peninsula between Lake Clark National Park and the Katmai National Monument is the Cusack's Alaska Lodge. The lodge sits 200 miles to the southwest of Anchorage amid the beauty of wild Alaska. Your hosts are Bob and Lula Cusack, who built the lodge. Bob is a professional grade bush pilot and has been flying fisherman to remote locations for nearly 40 years. This is a rustic, luxury lodge that blends the best of wild Alaska with the best of modern society. Guests enjoy creature comforts such as luxury bedding and rustic charm such as a wood sauna which is incredible after a long day of fishing. Meals are served family style, and the food is up-town metro with a huge dash of home style cooking. This is a place of beauty with freshwater views from the rooms or the charm of this exquisitely built lodge. This is a place that is clearly home. The best part is the perfect location. From here, you can fish any of the remote locations including the outstanding smaller Copper River.

The Perfect Location for Freshwater Trophy Fish

The remote location is not a barrier to great fishing. Most of the best fishing locations throughout Alaska are but a short boat ride away. These locations include place like the smaller Copper River, which is home to 18 inch Trophy Rainbow Trout. The small river is narrow and shallow allowing fishermen an outstanding opportunity to catch massive Rainbow Trout. The Smaller Copper River is a fly fisherman's paradise and its considered local. Other locations are easily accessible based on the type of fish that you want to catch. Bob understand the fish cycles and seasons and can take you to the perfect location to catch whatever sports fish you are after.

The Bob Cusack Difference

For out of the way destinations Bob flies guests to remote locations to find the best fishing grounds for whichever fish are in seasons. Bob has 40 years of hands on fishing experience. He understands how to fish in Alaska. He can tell you where the fish are and how to catch them. A fly-out with Bob will take you to places that few people ever fish. The waters are rich with Rainbows, Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling, Arctic Char, Northern Pike, and all five species of salmon. This why Cusack's Alaska Fishing lodge is such a successful destination for fisherman. Bob has this encyclopedia type knowledge of all of the rivers. He can tell you when the fish arrive and when they leave. He can tell you how to fish in all types of rivers and for all types of fish. This is a master, and people come to learn from him season after season.

Fishing With the Masters

The Cusack Alaska Lodge offers a lot of fishing talent. Guests get to hang out with and fish with Bob, but the lodge is also home to three outstanding young guides who know their stuff. He has spent time training and teaching Dalton, Brian and Kirk. The lodge focuses on quality fishing time with the guides. When you visit Cusack's Alaska Lodge you receive quality attention and master level fishing guidance from a team that offers insider knowledge of how and where to fish for trophy Alaskan fish.
