Dalin Charters & Guides sails from Ketchikan the first big city of the Inside Passage and the start of the beautiful and massive Tongass National Forest. The charter offers world-class saltwater fishing and freshwater fishing for visitors from the world over.

Ketchikan Hunting and Guided Fishing

Dalin Charters & Guides welcome fishers from all venues and work with those guests from cruise ships who want to spend the day fishing in Alaska. You can book a 4, 6, or full day of fishing. They offer lodging through the Sportsman's Bed & Breakfast and focus on helping their guests enjoy the trip of a lifetime in Alaska.

Saltwater Fishing - Mostly, people come to fish for the Big King Salmon and many want to battle a big Barn Door Halibut. The local waters around Ketchikan are a haven for many trophy sports fish including big Ling Cod.

When to Book:

For King Salmon May through the end of June is the prime time with late May and early June being the biggest run times. From July onward you have the option of fishing for Silver Salmon, Chum Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and Pink Salmon. Later in July and through September is the best time to target the Silvers, If you are not familiar with Chum Salmon, you should get to know them. They are the second largest of the Pacific Salmon species and can hit the 35-pound mark. Kings range from 12-18 pounds ( young) to the 40+ pound older fish. Silvers are the third largest of the Salmon here and range to 20 pounds, though common in the 5-10 pound range. The Sockeye Salmon usually hit the 5-8 pound range and the Pink Salmon are the smallest and most populous and range in size to 6 pounds.

Overall, expect plenty of opportunities to fish for Halibut, Salmon, and Rockfish.
