Fishing with Drifting on the Fly

Key options for trips include:

Fishing Deep Creek for Steelhead. These are not your average fish, and you should expect fish in the 10-25 pound range.

Fishing the Kasilof River - World-renown for big Salmon, big Trout, and Char.

Fishing the Kenai River - Known to produce world-record King Salmon and offers huge runs of Silver Salmon, Sockeye, Salmon and big Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden Char.

Fly Out Fishing is beyond wonderful. The area around is very diverse and ranges from saltwater to freshwater to high altitude and sea level. There are rivers, creeks, and streams on which nobody ever fishes.

Also, fly-out fishing gives you the opportunity to fish for many species of Salmon that are not available locally. For example, when the King Salmon season is Closing, the Silver Salmon are not yet in the Upper Kenai. A short plane ride puts you into the thick of the Silver Salmon migration so you can target the fish that you want.

Guided fishing in Alaska just makes sense. Not only does your guide help keep you safe, but they also have the experience to turn an average fishing trip into one filled with Trophy Salmon, Trophy Trout, and Trophy-sized memories. That is exactly the reason that Drifting on the Fly is such a good choice. They have the experience, equipment, and permits so that you have access to the best of the Kenai area.
