Eagle's Wings Wilderness Retreat is located in Klawock, Alaska, on the Prince of Wales Island. Getting here is relatively easy. You can take the ferry from Ketchikan to Hollis, where they will pick you up, or you can hope a plane from Ketchikan to either Klawock or Hollis. Fisher's of the lodge have access to both saltwater fishing and freshwater fishing and via for trophy Pacific Salmon and Halibut. The lodge designs your stay so that you are doing what you want to do when you want to do it, and at your own pace. Expect a little pampering.Â
Lodging with Eagle's Wings Wilderness Retreat
Expect rugged luxury with rooms that have handcrafted furniture and accommodations per room to 3 people. The cabins have room for 2-4 people. There is a wood-fired sauna on site which guests can use. All meals are chef-prepared and may include your fresh catch-of-the-day if you wish.Â
Overall, expect beautiful rooms that are cozy with a little bit of luxe, great food, and a long list of fishing options.Â
Fishing with Eagle's Wings Wilderness Retreat
This is Southeast Alaska and home to some of the best Salmon and Halibut fisheries in the world. Expect to target all five species of Pacific Salmon, Big Halibut, Ling Cod, and Rockfish. Crabbing is also an option.Â
The lodge supplies you with everything you need for saltwater fishing and stocks, only the basics for freshwater fishing. If you love tossing flies, it is advisable to bring your own freshwater gear. One option that is not available everywhere is clamming. Be sure to ask about this when you book your stay.Â
Overall, expect a lovely stay in a beautiful location with quality lodging, good food, and plenty of opportunities to fish for Trophy Salmon and Halibut. Â
