Five Dogs Fishing has been guiding out of Cooper Landing, Alaska since 2001. Expect a high quality operation with a focus on serving each customer individually. This is not a numbers game operation where they are simply looking to book as many trips as possible. Five Dogs Fishing focuses on quality, is committed to responsible fishing and does not outsource you to another guide or a novice guide. Every trip booked goes out with the head guide and owner Adam Snyder and includes the use of top quality gear (Hatch Reels, Scott Fly Rods, St. Croix Rods & More) & waders. Five Dogs Fishing is great for beginners or experienced well as guests are not into fishing but just tagging along for the scenery & adventure!

Fishing the Upper Kenai River

Five Dogs Fishing primary fishes the Upper Kenai River offers half or full day guided fishing trips. This is a very beautiful section of the Kenai River with exceptional fishing...this section of the river winds through the Kenai Mountains so not only do you have incredible fishing but you also have fantastic views with an abundance of wildlife. For those interested in fishing other sections of the Kenai such as the Middle Kenai River or Kenai River Canyon they do offer those trips on full day fish & floats. The primary fishing focus is for Rainbow Trout, Silver Salmon, Sockeye Salmon and Dolly Varden. The Rainbow Trout fishing on the Kenai is some of the best in the world for anglers looking for big & beautiful Rainbows. Sockeye are targeted earlier in the season in June and July while Silvers are the target in August and September. With Five Dogs Fishing they are also able to tailor your trip to fly fishing or spin fishing (or a combination of the two) depending on your preference as their focus is to offer a personalized customer focused experience.

Why Choose Five Dogs Fishing?

This is not a large operation...there are two people involved Adam ( who has been guiding the Upper Kenai River for 18 years) and his wife, that's it. When you book with Five Dogs you know what to expect and exactly who will be guiding you. Adam is passionate about fishing and providing the highest quality experience he can to the guests he takes out on the water. He's eager to share his love of Alaska with you and not only provide you with a guided fishing experience but is happy to share his knowledge and love of Alaska with you as well on each guided trip. Whether you are an experienced angler, a beginner or a family with kids Five Dogs Fishing is an excellent choice for your Kenai River fishing guide.
