The Great Alaska Adventures is a conglomerate of lodges and wilderness camps. They focus on the entire grace of Alaska including wildlife, adventure, and fishing. Their strength is that they can customize their packages to meet your agenda. If you want to experience pure fishing, they can do that for you. If you want a well-rounded trip that includes fishing, then they can do that for you too. They run out of the Kenai River area where guests find amazing food and luxury. The lodge is the Kenai River Lodge, and it sits on a pristine 25 acre homestead site where the Kenai River and the Moose River meet. It is a fishing paradise.

Pristine World Class Fishing on the Kenai River

If there were just one river in the world that fish could choose, it would be the Kenai River. It is here that the king salmon begin the salmon season and where the Silver Salmon ends it. Between the kings and the silvers are the Pinks, Reds and Chum Salmon. Regardless of the season, there are fish to be caught in the Kenai. This is rainbow country. The Rainbow Trout cycle around the Salmon and it is quite possible to catch Trophy Rainbows and a Trophy King all in the same day. While size is a focus when it comes to fish, the best fighter in the group is the silver salmon. These tenacious fish will try to rip the pole out of your hand.

There is also plenty of opportunity to try your hand at Pacific Halibut fishing. Hold on tight, fishing just became a sport. Alaskan halibut are amazing to fish. Barn doors, as the big ones are called weigh upwards of 1000 pounds. The record for sports fishing halibut is just under 500 pounds. The Chickens, as the little ones are called weigh in at under 100 pounds. Don't matter though, they are all good eating.

Guided Fishing in the Heart of Alaska Fishing

What could be better than staying where the salmon call home? The Great Alaska Adventure Lodge offers some of the best-guided fishing tours available. The guides are experienced with the area and the fish. They offer fly or cast fishing in fresh or saltwater.

Enjoy the Adventure

There is a lot to do in Alaska. The Moose river is calm and makes an excellent place to fish or to watch wildlife. The Bears, eagles and moose are plentiful. There are outstanding vistas for photography or just exploring the world around you by kayak. Their lodge is equally happy to help make your trip successful whether that includes a full fishing expedition or a mixture of fishing and scenery.
