Intricate Bay Lodge sits on the shores of Iliamna Lake - a fabled fishing area for Salmon, Trophy Rainbow Trout, and more. Getting here is fairly easy. It is a simple commuter flight from Anchorage to Iliamna (town) and then the lodge will meet you at the airport and fly you to Intricate Bay via a float plane. Exect a beautiful lodge, friendly people, and plenty of ways to Fish Wild Alaska. 

The Fishing Options

They offer a "land package" that is a wade and hike option. You travel by boat to local rivers such as the world renowned Copper and Gibraltar - rivers where Rainbow Trout are the size of many Salmon, and where seasonal runs of Salmon will shock you.  Many smaller streams are accessed by jet boats and our 23-foot cabin cruiser. 

The Combo Package - Mix Flyout fishing with local river and creek fishing to round out your fishing experience. The area is full of world-class fishing and having this options allows you to choose the fish you want to target. They offer three days of flyout fishing with three days of local fishing. 

Their executive package is a full six days of flyout fishing and an excellent way to experience Alaska. You will fish in a new location every single day and experience the difference between trophy rivers and trophy creeks all in a remote setting with a world-class guide. 

The DIY Float Trip - designed for 2-6 people, their DIY float trip provides everything you need to not just survive six days down a river, but to enjoy it and thrive. They provide quality gear and raft, food, and instruction. You only need bring your favorite rod or two and a warm sleeping bag. How cool is that! 

Guided float trips - It's your group and your guide accessing world-class fishing. You only have to follow the guide, he will deal with the bears, camp, meals, and more. Your focus is on fishing wild and remote locations. The experience is a little harder than the softness of the lodge, but you'll survive and the stories you can tell will be exciting.

While there are other lodges in the Bristol Bay area, the staff nearly outnumbers the weekly number of guests at Intricate Bay. The staff-to-guest ratio of this small, cozy lodge allows for unparalleled service to each guest. Enjoy an eco-tour or fishing outing with a personal guide and chef.

The Lodge

The Intricate Bay Lodge is new. It was completely rebuilt after a fire destroyed the original lodge in 2014. It is a gorgeous place with built in comforts so that you never have to rough it to enjoy Alaska. Expect a first-class fly-fishing lodge that is completely modern. Amenities such as carpeted guest rooms - all with private bathrooms and lots of comfort. For such a romote location they have, Wi-Fi so you can share your fishing adventure as it occurs. After fishing there is an in-deck hot tub so you can recover from battling trophy fish. The list of amenities here is long and thoughtful. The staff is warm and friendly allowing you to enjoy your adventure. 

All meals are chef prepared and include full breakfasts, hot shore lunches, and fabulous dinners that rival the fishing. You won't leave hungry and from home you will dream about the food here.
