Jason's Guide Service provides professional and skilled fishing on the Kenai River from Cooper Landing to the Mouth and for Trophy Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Silver Salmon, and Sockeye Salmon. Jason specializes guided fly fishing and offers year-round fishing including ice fishing.
Cooper Landing and the Kenai River
The Kenai River is world-famous and home to the world record King Salmon, but it offers so much more than just King Salmon. Here you can target Trophy Rainbow Trout in the 30-inch range and Dolly Varden ( a very close cousin) in the 20-30 inch range. This is also home to one of the largest runs of Sockeye Salmon in the world and anglers vie for a guide during the Silver Salmon Season.
The benefit of Fishing the Kenai is the late runs of both Sockeye Salmon and Silver Salmon and the resident population of big Trophy Rainbows and Dolly Varden.
Why Jason's Guide Service
Jason offers a deep expertise of the Kenai River and the fish that inhabit it. This is valuable on a river that is as dynamic as the Kenai. To find the big Trophy Rainbows you need to know where the King Salmon Spawn. It is the loose roe that makes them fat and larger. The Rainbows tend to follow the Kings and the Dolly Vardens the Silvers, but if you know the river you can find the places where you can target both Trophy Rainbows and Trophy Dolly Vardens. When it comes to fishing for Silver Salmon, Jason's services are keen. There are places where only a guide can take you because they hold the right permits to fish in restricted areas.
Overall, expect a professional guide that will put you in the midst of Trophy Fish.
