Jimmie Jack's Lodge is a lodge and charter service. The lodge sits along the shores of Cook Inlet and provides a perfect location for saltwater or freshwater fishing. The lodge features a main lodge and out cabins. The rooms in the lodge feature a private bath, and some have their own kitchen and dining area. The cabins are large and sleep up to five for the McKinley Cabin or up to four at the Gold Miner's Cabin.

The cabins and lodge rooms are comfortable and equipped with modern features. The lodge provides continental breakfast and a fisherman's lunch (add). For lunch and (remove) dinner guests either cook for themselves or head into town. The lodge sits three hours by car, and you will need to drive yourself to your own fishing charter. The guides for charters are professionals with Coast Guard license.

Fishing at Jimmie Jack's Lodge

Jimmie Jack's Lodge uses customized 21 foot Willie boats. The boats and the guides all have Coast Guard certification, and the guides know the local area well. The boats feature the best fishing equipment and gear for Alaska fishing. They use both spinners and fly rods (remove). Most fishing trips include a balance between river and ocean fishing. There is an option to customize your fishing trip, but you will need to do that before you book your trip. Each guest can opt for a free 50 fish packing service. You can either take your fish home as checked luggage or you can fly it home via Fed Ex. There is also a local taxidermy specialist in town if you'd prefer to have your fish mounted.

The Guides at Jimmie Jack's

Outstanding expert fishermen. Big Jim is Jimmie Jack's dad and rumor has it that the fish follow him up and down the river. He is full of secret fishing trick and unique fishing plugs that make him a fish Whisperer. The rest of the guides are good, but Big Jim is a legend. The lodge represents decade upon decade of Kenai River experience.

Fishing for the World Records

The Cook Inlet area is home to some massive fish. The Pacific Halibut are huge. A 200 pound Halibut is as tall as a man and wider. The Alaska record weighed in at 495 pounds. The Kenai River is also an awesome place to salmon fish. The Kings and Silvers are plentiful as are large Rainbows. Guests must supply their own fishing license, and that includes a King Salmon stamp. It is best to have those in hand before you leave for your trip.
