Ketchikan Charter Boats is a conglomerate of local Captains and boats who offer chartered Salmon and Halibut fishing to local visitors and cruise ship passengers. Also on the menu is sightseeing adventures and the local area is rich in adventures to behold - Whales, Orca, Salmon Shark, Fjords, Glaciers, and Bald Eagles... that is not even including the thrill of battling and landing a King Salmon or Halibut.

Fishing with Ketchikan Charter Boats

The boats range in size from 28' - 40' and they do a good job of accommodating groups of all sizes. They also have room on boats for children and those adult fishers who have never fished before.

The fishing here is amazing. First, the Inside Passage is a very natural nursery for Halibut as the calmer waters attract a great deal of baitfish that feed on the smaller creatures - shrimp and zooplankton - that thrive in colder and calm waters. This is also a natural Salmon highway because the Salmon also feed on the baitfish and use the calmer waters to rest before they head upstream to spawn. These two sets of factors make fishing for Salmon and Halibut around Ketchikan amazing. Even with the millions of Salmon that swim past, you still need a captain who knows the waters. This is because the fish tend to rest in the deeper pool and they hunt or rest depending on the ebb of the tide.

Ketchikan Charter Boats works closely with cruise ship passengers so you can be sure to never miss your boat. They also offer multi-day fishing for local visitors who want to enjoy the bountiful waters that make Ketchikan the Salmon Capital of the World.
