The King of the River is a professional guide service with more than 32 years of experience helping fishers just like you to target big King Salmon and other fish on some of the world's best rivers.

About King of the River

When you want to target fish, this is the place to go. in 2016 their guests landed 800 plus Salmon. Any one of those fish could have been the next world record.

Both rivers have big runs of Kings and when King season ends it is time to focus on Silver Salmon. In between, you get the Sockeye and Chum Salmon, but the King Salmon and Silver Salmon are the stars of Alaska Salmon fishing.

The service offers a lot of fishing from Salmon fishing on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers to Halibut fishing charters. They even offer Fly-in fishing so that you can target the species of fish that most interest you.

Expect professionals with a well-run organization, good gear, good boats, and plenty of fish to target.

The Fishing and Waters

The Kenai River is the destination where most fishermen want to come. That is because it is the river where the 97 plus pound world record King Salmon was caught. If you want to fish for fame and glory, all you need to do is beat that record, and on either the Kasilof or the Kenai you have a great chance of doing just that.

These rivers have huge runs of Salmon. The Sockeye Salmon runs are in the multiple millions, but Salmon are not the only thing to fish. In these rivers, you also have 30-inch Trophy Rainbow Trout, and a professional guide will show you where and how to fish for these giant Rainbows.

Halibut in Cook Inlet or out of Seward can crest the 300-pound mark. Those are called Barn Door Halibut. You can catch four halibut a year in Alaska so if you opt to Halibut fish let the experienced guides at King of the River guide you to the big Barn Door Halibut.

Overall, you have plenty of options with this guide service, and you should expect world-class service and fishing too.
