Fishing with the Kvichak Lodge
June and July is a busy month for fishing at the Kvichak Lodge. You have access to King Salmon, Sockeye, big Rainbows, Dolly Vardens, Northern Pike, Arctic Grayling, and Char.
The second week of June through the first week of July is a prime time for King Salmon fishing.
Towards the end of July and into the first part of August, the Silver Salmon begin their run. With the King Salmon and Sockeye Salmon runs over, the focus is on the Silver Salmon. As a fly fishing target it does not get much better than Silver Salmon. These are high-energy fish with lots of fight. There are still the big Rainbows, Dolly Vardens, Northern Pike, Arctic Grayling, and Char available. Dolly Varden and Char are a cousin to both the Salmon and the Rainbow Trout. In addition to the Silvers, the Chum Salmon and the Pink Salmon are available too. Chum Salmon are also known for their spunk and the Pink Salmon fight too. Pinks are the smallest of the Pacific Salmon but they make up for their size in sheer numbers. They may outnumber the Sockeye.
Fishing with the Kvichak Lodge is all about quality. It is one of the best fly fishing destinations in the world. Expect expert guides, professional services and access to an amazing assortment of fish. including big Rainbows.
