The fishery itself is remarkably diverse. Lake Creek runs clear and cold, fed by Lake Chelatna upstream, creating ideal conditions for spawning salmon and the trout and grayling that follow them. The adjacent Yentna River offers big water opportunities for salmon and pike. From June through September, the system sees consistent runs of sockeye, silver, chum, pink, and king salmon, along with resident populations of rainbow trout, Arctic grayling, and northern pike in the backwater sloughs. Whether you're targeting hard-fighting sockeyes on the swing, stripping streamers for aggressive rainbows, or working dry flies for grayling, the water within reach of the lodge supports productive fishing for anglers of all skill levels.

The Lake Creek Lodge Experience

We had a great time, 35 to 40 minute flight in, while waiting for our guide Boone to get everything ready to takeoff in the boat we were able to fish from the dock for about 25 minutes, caught several off the dock which could?ve easily been keepers but we were being selective early, we were on the river fishing around 9:30 AM. We fished until noon, keeping multiple good-sized Silver Salmon, threw back many silver and pink salmon along with a trout now and then, we proceeded back to the lodge for the lunch that they provide. We really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches and salad. They have a full bar, beer, wine & liquor. Back on the river around 1:30, completed our limit by 3:30, then did a little exploring on the river until 4:30. Spent the next 30 enjoying the full bar service. We enjoyed our float plane flight in and out with Nick as our pilot, Regal Air provides a great service and we had a wonderful time flying in there de Havilland DH 2 Beaver plane. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and left with 27 pounds of silver salmon fillets which we had shipped home when we returned to Anchorage. We used Alaska sausage and seafood to ship our catch home. A great way to spend a day in and around Anchorage Alaska.

First time visit for myself and my 10 year old and Jeff and crew did not disappoint. Fantastic camp with top notch hospitality. The fishing is phenomenal and the guides know their river. We will be regulars for sure.

The cook made amazing Salmon tacos. The view is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. The guides work hard to make sure everyone taken care of when they fish from start to finish.

Didn't actually stay here, but went on a guided fishing tour with Wayde and had a blast. Caught our limit and the day went by too fast. The lodge had some great breakfast and a fantastic lunch. Would definitely come here again.
