The primary river that they fish is the Uganik River. River fishing here is a beautiful experience. The lodge takes you up-river in a jon-boat which travels from the mouth of the river to a number of fishing holes. Here you can fish for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Sockeye Salmon, Chum Salmon, and Silver Salmon all within a half an hour boat ride. The best times to visit for fishing in the Uganik River are June through the end of October. Hike-in fishing is also an option.

Flyout float trips are another option. Uganik Lake is a short ten-minute flight from the lodge. The adventure starts where the plane lands as the local waters are rich with Dolly Varden. The trip down-river is slow allowing anglers to fish for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Salmon. Expect to stop along the way where fishing is intense and then resuming your float. The Uganik River is dynamic, but shallow so you have plenty of opportunities to fish, view wildlife, and relax beneath the Alaskan Sky.

Saltwater fishing in Uganik Bay is a rich experience. The sheltered waters are favored by the Halibut. Throughout the seasons, the waters also fill with salmon who stage in the bay before making their way upstream. You may also have a chance to view or battle the shy Salmon Shark.
