Quartz Creek Lodge sits along the shores on the west side of KodiaK Island in the protective waters of Uganik Bay. This is a quiet place where nature and wildlife abound. The lodge is licensed as a Halibut Charter and the local waters around Kodiak Island are a perfect place to fish for the big Pacific Halibut as well as all five species of Pacific Salmon.
Freshwater Fishing with Quartz Creek Lodge
Flyout float trips are another option. Uganik Lake is a short ten-minute flight from the lodge. The adventure starts where the plane lands as the local waters are rich with Dolly Varden. The trip down-river is slow allowing anglers to fish for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Salmon. Expect to stop along the way where fishing is intense and then resuming your float. The Uganik River is dynamic, but shallow so you have plenty of opportunities to fish, view wildlife, and relax beneath the Alaskan Sky.
