Raspberry Island Lodge sits on Raspberry Island in the Kodiak Archipelago and on the shores of the Raspberry Straight. Fishing with Raspberry Island Lodge

Guests of the lodge have access to prime Pacific Halibut fishing as well as Salmon, Ling Cod, and Rockfish. Guests board one of two custom built Armstrong Marine catamarans that are 30 feet long and 10.6 feet wide. The boats are designed to give everyone onboard plenty of room to fish. The Cabin is heated making your trip to the Halibut grounds comfortable. The boats are equipped with GPS, Radar and a stand up marine head.

The Waters around the Kodiak Archipelago are prime for Halibut and Salmon. The Halibut are here year round while the salmon migrate. Other year-round residents include the predatory Ling Cod and the nicely sized Rockfish such as Cod and Snapper.

People come because of the Halibut and King Salmon. While these two species of fish are outstanding, the Ling Cod can be equally exciting. Expect to fish for Halibut in the 20-50 pound range with ample opportunity to land Halibut that are over 100 pounds. The Kings are plentiful early on from May through June, and they can reach 70 pounds easily. The Silver Salmon fishing here is excellent too, and while these guys weigh in around 12 pounds, they fight like a 70 pound King. As you can see, Raspberry Island offers a tremendous opportunity for fishing.
