Ketchikan is an Alaskan Angler's paradise with sheltered waters and plenty of Salmon and Halibut from which to fish. Ketchikan is the Salmon Capital of the World and for a good reason. Millions of Salmon stage here before finding their native spawning rivers. Plus, the bait and schooling fish prefer these calm waters, and they feed the salmon and the Halibut.

Fishing with Salty Sea Charters

The Salty Sea Charters is a single boat charter that offers customized and personal fishing services throughout the Ketchikan region. The boat - the Salty Sea - was built in 2016 and offers all of the modern convenience that make a full day of Halibut or Salmon fishing pleasurable and comfortable. The Salty Sea is a 30-foot critter with plenty of space to fish and decks that are designed for fishermen.

Your captain is Josh Rose, and he is a master fishermen himself. He knows where the hot spots are here for big Halibut, King Salmon, Silver Salmon, and the legendary big Ling Cod. He is US Coast Guard Licensed to captain a boat, and he is a native of Ketchikan. You won't find a better captain.

Expect a clean boat, modern facilities, including a bathroom, and top-shelf fishing gear that is well-maintained. Also, you should expect the best service and very helpful deckhands. Your fishing enjoyment is their first goal.

The Fish here are plentiful. Ketchikan is not the Salmon Capital of the World by chance; it is a place where there are literally millions of Pacific Salmon. Where you find the so many Salmon, you find a lot of Halibut. You see, Halibut are just as fond of eating Salmon as are we.

Overall, expect a world-class fishing trip with plenty of big Salmon and big Halibut.
