The Silverfin Guide Service is a professional guide service that serves the lower Kenai Peninsula. They offers"walk and wade" fishing adventures on local area streams and even near Homer. Expect to target King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Steelhead, and Dolly Varden Trout.
A Walk & Wade Fishing Adventure
Their season runs May through October, and they provide all of the gear even waders. If you want a customized fishing adventure, these are the folks to make that happen. They book trips from half day to full day and 3/4 days trips which are generally in the six-hour range.
You will need to bring your own fishing license which you should order online about 60 days before your trip. If you are flying into Anchorage, the local Walmart there sells licenses too.
Expect a wonderful crew that will teach you how to fish, give you plenty of hands-on fishing experience and still let you target big Trophy fish. The deal here is that all of the rivers are walk-on, which means you don't need to get in a boat. They fish smaller streams and rivers such as Deep Creek, Kasilof River & Anchor River. The waters here are so full of fish that you can easily stand along the shore or wade and fish for big fish.
If you are ready for a fishing adventure like no other, then this is the guide service to call. You should expect a professional guide, quality gear, and access to many of the best and hottest fishing areas around the Kenai Peninsula.
These guys are one of the few guide services that will take you clamming and along the Cook Inlet at low tide clamming is amazing.
