Soaring Eagle Lodge is amazing. It sits on the bluffs above Cook Inlet on the South Central Shores of Alaska. There is a lot to do here, and the lodge is the perfect hub for all of your Alaska adventures. The lodge has room for six people while the out cabins feature one and two bedroom units. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. Each cabin has its own kitchen and comes stocked with food. Soaring Eagle Lodge is not just a fishing lodge, it is a vacation lodge and as such its strength is that it allows you to build your vacation. They do offer fishing packages for fisherman, and Adventures, but the whole family will have plenty to do here. One of the perks here is that your vacation rate comes with round trip airfare into Alaska and a rental car or van for your stay.

Fishing with the Soaring Eagle Lodge Crew

The fishing adventure is customizable, and you can pick your adventure as you build your trip. A six-day trip can be broken up into six solo adventures, or you can spend the entire six days fishing for Halibut. Options include:

'¢ Float plane fly out fishing trips for King Salmon, Silver Salmon or Trophy Rainbow Trout.
'¢ Drift Fishing the fish-rich rivers and tributaries around Cook Island. This area is home to outstanding salmon fishing and the nearby rivers, such as the smaller Copper River offer 18 pound Rainbow Trout, Arctic Grayling and a host of salmon.
'¢ The Cook Inlet is a perfect location for Halibut fishing.
'¢ Enjoy the smaller tributaries with their clear water and gravel bottom where the Rainbows and Salmon thrive.

Fishing Around Cook Inlet

Cook Inlet is the place where most of the fishing in Alaska begins. It is an area teaming with rivers, and that means fish. From freshwater to saltwater the fishing here is heavy. The seasonal flow of the inlet and the local rivers and streams are home to King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Pink Salmon, and Chum Salmon. There are Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Arctic Char and Arctic Grayling in most of the rivers. The local lakes are also home to Lake Trout. The ocean here is home to Pacific Halibut, which can weigh upwards of 1000 pounds. The area around Cook Inlet is where the salmon pool before they enter the streams. This presents the sports fishermen with a lot of option for fighting monster-sized fish. The King Salmon record is 126 pounds. The record for sports fishing for Halibut is nearly 500 pounds. There are some mega monsters out there and Soaring Eagle Lodge will help you take advantage of all the fishing you can handle.

Other adventures and Family Fun trips

Hop in a boat and check out the whales, such as Orcas or head along the sound to see the glaciers. There are horseback and kayak trips, or you can fly out to watch the bears. If you love adventure embark on a white water rafting adventure. Whatever you want to do, the folks at Soaring Eagle Lodge will help you achieve your dreams.
