The lodge offers over 10,000 square feet of space for living, relaxing and enjoying the ruggedness of the Alaskan bush. Expect a pleasant mix of rustic and luxury such as 24-hour electricity, thermostatically controlled ambient temperatures, and a fly-tying area. The lodge sits along the shores of Lake Clark in the Lake Clark National Park. This is part of the fabled Bristol Bay Water Shed and home to some amazing trophy fishing.

Fishing with the Stonewood Lodge

All fishing trips are guided by professional guides with years of experience putting fishermen on top of trophy fish. Guests have access to all five species of Pacific Salmon and one of the most prolific seasons for Trophy Rainbow Trout. There is also the opportunity to battle big Northern Pike, Arctic Grayling, Dolly Varden, and Arctic Char. This is the perfect lodge for master fly fishermen and those who are just beginning their fishing adventure. The guides help you learn to fish, learn new techniques for fishing, and may introduce you to fish species that you have never heard off before. The lodge practices catch-and-release fishing. One amazing option is to use the outpost camp at Pacific Bear Bay Lodge where you can access saltwater fishing for Halibut, Salmon, Rock Fish, Bottom Fish, and big trophy Lingcod too.

Overall, expect the best of both worlds. Staying with the Stonewood Lodge gives you an authentic Alaskan Wilderness adventure with the luxury of a well-designed and comfortable lodge. While all of that is important, it is the fishing that draws visitors from around the world. Here is the spot for outstanding trophy fishing in Alaska.

Lodging with the Stonewood Lodge

Lodging here is in the lodge rather than out-cabins. Each room is fitted with a queen-sized bed and a single twin bed. All rooms have a private bathroom and Wi-Fi. There are remote outpost camps that guests can arrange to use and are helpful when you want to target a special type of trophy fish or location. The lodge holds upwards of 28 guests, but the total guest population is kept to around 12 guests per week. This allows us to have room for special occasions, and still provide quality service to every guest.

Expect gourmet meals, personal service and the opportunity for amazing trophy fishing in a number of world-class locations.

Visit Our Pacific Bay Bear Lodge for the Ultimate Combo Trip

400 Miles further down the Alaska Peninsula from our Stonewood Lodge, is a land that is virtually unchanged where time seems to stand still. Our Peninsula Bay Bear Lodge sits in the heart of this country, surrounded by towering mountains and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful black sand beaches are mere feet away and the ocean teems with an abundance of marine life. Our guests have the chance to see and experience the vast ruggedness and wonderful fishing of this great area, in an area that very few ever visit.

Untouched waters for Halibut, Cod, Crab and Shark abound and short rivers pour straight from volcanic and glacier-clad peaks to make up the very best Salmon habitat. Silvers, Reds, Pinks, and Chum Salmon all have runs in the rivers we fish here. It is a great area for combining fishing for freshwater and saltwater species'“many times fishing both in the same day.
Photography Opportunities are endless as there are incredible sightings of a variety of marine mammals, wildlife, and exceptional landscape. From seals and sea otters and migrating groups of whales to the giant Brown Bears walking the beaches and looking for a good fishing spot of their own, your camera will be busy in action. You may also get some photos of a scampering fox, eagles roosting, and wolves traveling by or of some of the great variety of waterfowl in the area.
