Gustavus is just 50 miles Southwest of Juneau and sits amid Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. This is the Inside Passage and a place that is teeming with Salmon and Halibut. Fishermen who choose Taylor Charters have access to prime fishing grounds, and in addition to the Halibut and Salmon, they have access to big Ling Cod, Rockfish, and even the big 700 plus pound Salmon Sharks.

Fishing with Taylor Charters

Guests of the Taylor Charters fish on 28-foot boats that offer plenty of room to fish. There are five boats in the fleet, and each is captained by a US Coast Guard Certified Captain.

Taylor Charters offers chartered fishing adventures that last up to five days. You can choose the length of your fishing from 1/2 day to five full days. That feature is unique amid all of the Charters in Alaska. Most focus on single day fishing, so if you are looking to target Halibut or Salmon throughout your fishing vacation, then these guys have a package that fits your fishing goals.

Halibut and Salmon Fishing with Taylor Charters

The staff and crew here make fishing adventures happen. Some charters let you rent a boat and try your luck on a self-guided day of fishing. At Taylor Charters, it's about your experience. There are plenty of fish in the Inside Passage but to find the big fish you need an experienced captain. That is a big difference here. These guys can put you on the big Halibut or the big Kings. There are plenty of Pink Salmon around to keep you busy, but if you want to land those big 100 plus pound Halibut or 50 pound plus Kings, then this is the spot to come.

Overall, expect clean boats, friendly captains, and good fishing gear. This is not just about fishing, but about having the best fishing adventure possible. Whether you want to enjoy a single half day of fishing or you want to spend all five of your vacation days fishing, this charter will not only help you but allow you to enjoy every minute you are on the water.
