Tree Tops Lodge sits in the Southeast part of Alaska on Prince of Wales Island along the shores of Thorne Bay. This is prime Halibut Country and for those who love saltwater fishing, home to amazing Salmon fishing too. There is even plenty of opportunity for freshwater fishing as the local area has clear water streams.

Guests stay in a beautifully designed lodge with comfortable beds in charming rooms. The common area is packed with overstuffed reclining chairs where you can watch TV or enjoy conversations. The food here is outstanding, and the entire lodge is surrounded by a covered deck where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thorne Bay.

Fishing with Tree Tops Lodge

Guests fish aboard custom built fishing boats amid the best fishing grounds the area has to offer. Expect to fish for Halibut, Ling Cod, and Rock Fish during saltwater excursions. The Salmon availability varies by month, but there is almost always salmon around. The King Salmon start off the salmon season early in May, June, and into July. In July, the Silver Salmon are gathering and feasting as they prepare to head upstream. People enjoy targeting the King Salmon for they are truly large fish. The local waters are full of large fish, like the long, lean Ling Cod.

For Freshwater fishermen, the local streams are world-class for Steelhead and Cutthroat Trout. This is a place for spin casters and fly fishing, even on the salty sea a fly rod can bring you an amazing adventure.
