Our lodge is remote, located off the road system in south central Alaska on Lake Creek, a remote clear-water river system. We fly by float plane approximately 70 miles Northwest from Anchorage towards Denali National Park. The 45 minute flight covers a vast array of wetlands, rivers, dense forests and lakes. The valley is an incredible spectacle of what remains of it's glacial past. Epic views of Mt. Denali (McKinley) to the north can be seen on clear days.

We include round-trip float plane trip from Anchorage, private deluxe cabins with bath, all meals, personal fishing guides, daily guided fishing, beer and wine, all fishing equipment, waders, etc.

Your adventure kicks off with a scenic 45-minute float plane flight from Anchorage's iconic Lake Hood seaplane base, arriving at Wilderness Place Lodge just in time for lunch from the professional chef team. After a brief orientation, you're on the river with your guide targeting a variety of species — all spin and fly-fishing gear and instruction included for every skill level.

After a few days of world-class river fishing, fine dining, and complimentary beer and wine, you and your guide fly out to the historic Pioneer Cabin Lake Outpost — a classic log cabin sitting right on the banks of a remote lake with direct river access. Here you'll enjoy shore lunch, lake kayaking, swimming, hiking, and lakeside campfires before floating and fishing your way back down to the lodge on a fully guided raft trip.

This is a moderately strenuous adventure best suited for participants in good health — expect hiking over varied terrain, river wading, and kayaking. Kids 8 and up are welcome.
